Rabbi Brad Hirschfield Invited to Pope’s Interfaith Meeting in Israel May 8, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI is scheduled to greet a group of religious leaders in the Galilee at the Sanctuary of the Annunciation in Nazareth on the afternoon of May 14th. Rabbi Hirschfield, is one of the few international leaders invited to attend this interfaith event that will include local religious leaders and interfaith activists. Rabbi Hirschfield’s participation was facilitated by the The Elijah Interfaith Institute, among the world’s most sophisticated builders of meaningful bridges between multiple faith communities. Based in Israel, and led by veteran interfaith activist and scholar, Rabbi Alon Goshen-Gottstein PhD, their projects have impact around the world. From CLAL |
