Walter Cronkite Faith and Freedom Award awarded to Rabbi Irwin Kula

Named by the Interfaith Alliance Foundation as a recipient of their 11th annual Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award, Irwin Kula was honored on Nov. 11th at the Rainbow Room in New York City. The Award recognizes individuals whose actions have embodied the values of civility, tolerance, diversity and cooperation in the advancement of public dialogue and public policy on traditionally controversial and divisive issues. The ceremony was presented by President Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy and Rabbi Rebecca Sirbu accepted the award on Rabbi Kula's behalf.
