Formerly Clal’s Director of Special Projects, Aliza J. Kaplan was promoted to the position of Director of Operations and Administration. In this capacity, she manages the day–to–day operations of the organization, including business and financial supervision, resource development and production, web based-services, and human resource issues.
Ms. Kaplan brings a unique mix of experience to the position, with a background in Jewish education and expertise in financial management. Before coming to Clal in 2000, Ms. Kaplan worked for ten years in the financial service industry as a financial analyst and commercial banking lender in both New York and Tel Aviv. Responsibilities included handling the borrowing, commercial, and international transactions for Fortune 1000 corporate clients. A certified Jewish educator, she also taught Hebrew supplementary school and Jewish parenting classes for SAJES—Suffolk Association for Jewish Educations Services, where she directed "Celebrations: Discovering Jewish life in the Marketplace," a program providing access to Jewish practices in non–traditional places.
Ms. Kaplan is a graduate of Brown University, where she received a B.A. in International Relations. Raised in Israel, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of Congregation Or Zarua in New York City.
